Mask Land Video

This video was a COVID-era passion project filmed in January 2021. It was difficult to make videos between lockdowns and remote learning, but I wanted to make something.

My friend and I use our now-defunct soup reviewing YouTube channel as an excuse to try out fun video ideas and practice our filming and editing skills. The result was this video, a bizarre joke advertisement for our soup channel.

The mask you see in this video is “This Man,” a once-famous internet phenomenon depicting a man who appears identically in random people’s dreams across the world. It turned out to be a fabricated hoax used as creative advertising for a cancelled film project surrounding the character.

This project was filmed on my Nikon d3500 DSLR camera and edited in Final Cut Pro.
